Robert Paul Young (Younger as his friends called him) passed away at Northumberland Hills Hospital Sunday morning, September 13, 2009.Born September 9, 1950, friends remember him as a drummer in a local band, but especially as the handsome and lithesome athelete who wore white shorts. Robert, a student at Cobourg District Collegiate Institute, West, had won several awards for outstanding athletic feats. Those close to Younger know his famous story of swimming the Rio Grande.
Robert is survived by mother Irene Young (nee Scott), brothers Scott Young and Jay Young and sister, Sandy Hegarty.

Indeed.
Bob is the latest in a sadly long list of people from our generation who have died way too soon.
He will have lots of good company where he is now.
